This 19th century house contains within its curtilage two linked storage buildings which our client wanted to utilise as additional living space. The buildings were in poor condition and insubstantially built but retention of the external fabric was necessary to meet local Town & Country planning restrictions.
New structural frames were inserted to strengthen the walls and allow existing internal partitions to be removed. The building fabric was fully overhauled, lined and insulated. New French doors link the room to the existing garden.
A new wood burning open fire completed the ambiance of this characterful room.

GARAGE CONVERSION HOVE EAST SUSSEX
This is a typical example of the enhancement that can be achieved within a relatively modest scope of works.
The project involved the conversion of an existing garage to a family room and included internal alterations to link the new accommodation through to the main entrance hall.
A large purpose made curved bay window provides good daylight levels in this north facing room and is proportioned and positioned to provide an aesthetically pleasing balance to the main house facade.
Internally, the bay window contributes significantly to the character and spaciousness of the room.
